Indications

  1. Approach to chronic diarrhea

  2. Identification of dysbiosis (alterations in microbiota) in irritable bowel syndrome

Preparation

Before the test:​

  1. Not having taken antibiotics 1 month before

  2. Not having taken laxatives, prokinetics or antidiarrheals 1 week before

  3. Not having ingested fiber powder 1 day before

  4. 12 hours of fasting

Procedure

  1. Brushing teeth before the test

  2. Lactulose administration

  3. Every 15 minutes for 120 minutes the patient must:

    1. Breathe deeply and hold it for 15 seconds​

    2. Blow through the mouthpiece continuously

Report and cost

  1. Digital and printed report 

  2. Cost: 3,000 Mexican pesos
